Food and Drug Administration (FDA)3 Information Technology for the 21st Century (ICT21) The (ICT21) contract vehicle is a FDA agency-wide computing platform for the 21st century that is efficient, effective, scalable, flexible, reliable, and meets the FDA business requirements.
The ICT21 is a multiple award, IDIQ-type contract with a ten (10) year ordering period.
The Scope of this contract includes all activities (end-to-end) necessary to provide efficient, effective and responsive IT goods and services to support FDA requirements and ICT21 Program-related work and support. This includes all necessary aspects of planning, implementing, transitioning, operating, and maintaining new and existing applications within the ICT21 environment. It provides for IT support in the areas of planning, design, development, testing implementation, operation and maintenance for the Food and Drug Administration's automated system and business application software. 1 GSA’s function is to support the basic operations of the federal government by supplying products, communications, transportation, etc. for government offices. GSA also develops government wide cost-minimizing policies among other management tasks.2 CMS is a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CMS’s mission is to “ensure effective, up-to-date health care coverage and to promote quality care for beneficiaries”3 FDA promotes and protects the public health by helping safe and effective products reach the market in a timely way, and monitors these products for continued safety.
